Our new Education and Youth Committee is launching this month. We are looking for 2 community stakeholders (aged 14+) to join the committee. Meetings will take place once a month, but we have not finalized the time nor place. The committee will work to involve more young people in the Neighborhood Council and work closely with schools and other groups that serve young people. Applications will be due on 10/8 by 7:30PM. Please return applications to Chloe Rivas or in person at our the 10/8 Governing Board Meeting. The Governing Board will determine the committee membership at the 10/8 Governing Board Meeting which takes place at the Cypress Park Rec Center at 7:30PM.
Join us on Saturday, Aug 17, from 10am to 11am (such a small time commitment!) for a pop-up clean-up at the bridge behind the Loreto Street Elementary School. We’re meeting at Cypress Ave and Arroyo Seco. See you there!
We’re hosting our monthly, 1-hour cleanup this Saturday (April 13) from 10-11 a.m. Meet at the corner of Future and Cypress. We’ll have trash bags, gloves, brooms and the like. Come help us clean a few blocks of Cypress Ave.
Low commitment! Then go vote for the neighborhood council members at the library and get some free food!
