Join us for a free outdoor movie night on October 13 at 6:30PM at Rio de Los Angeles Park. We’ll be screening Monsters University!
Bring a blanket or chairs (and probably a sweater) and the whole family!
See you there!
We had another successful homeless engagement on Saturday in partnership with SELAH! Volunteers passed out hygiene kits (thanks GCPNC!), water, coffee, and fruit. We also collected valuable information about how we can better help our homeless neighbors. Join us for the next engagement at the end of the month by visiting the SELAH Facebook page!
Due to an administrative oversight, we regret to inform the community that tonight’s meeting will have to be postponed. We will update this website once we have secured a new date.
Thank you for your patience.
The next meeting of the Planning, Land Use, and Environment Committee will be Tuesday, Sept 5 @ 7:30 PM @ Rio de Los Angeles Park in the community room. We’ll be talking about outreach, any new planning applications, and steps for getting shade structures at the bus stops at Figueroa/Ave 26.

Saturday, September 9th will see the 4th annual LA River Boat Race. Anyone can join and paddle! The Greater Cypress Park Neighborhood Council will be hosting a table at the start of the event. Please join us for this community event! You don’t have to paddle, but if you’d like to it’s a pay-what-you-can event.

How should we use the 42 acres of land beside the LA River as the city cleans up the former train yard? Join us at the Bureau of Engineering’s community meeting to hear about the plan and offer your input!
