CHANGE IN FUNDING PROCESS

GCPNC awards grants to 501(c)3 non-profits and local schools for events and projects that directly benefit our Cypress Park community.

We have recently made a change to this process.

Instead of accepting requests on a first-come, first-serve basis (which leaves us with little funding at the end of the year), we will now be accepting funding requests on a QUARTERLY basis.

We will consider grant requests at the following 2018-2019 meetings:

August 14
October 9
January 8
April 9

Each meeting is at 7:00 PM at the Cypress Park Rec Center.

At each of the above meetings, we will have $4000 to distribute in grants. Distribution will be based on how much the project or event benefits Cypress Park neighbors specifically.

During the meeting, organizations requesting funding will have 5 minutes to present their request. The board will have 5 minutes to ask questions. We will listen to all requests at once and then give the audience time to make comments and help us prioritize funding.

    CAMBIO EN EL PROCESO DE FINANCIACIÓN

    GCPNC otorga subvenciones a escuelas locales y sin fines de lucro 501(c)3 para eventos y proyectos que benefician directamente a nuestra comunidad de Cypress Park.

    Recientemente hemos realizado un cambio en este proceso.

    En lugar de aceptar solicitudes por orden de llegada (lo que nos deja con pocos fondos al final del año), ahora aceptaremos solicitudes de financiación TRIMESTRALMENTE.

    Consideraremos las solicitudes de subvención en las siguientes reuniones de 2018-2019:

    14 de agosto
    9 de octubre
    8 de enero
    9 de abril

    Cada reunión es a las 7:00 p. m. en el Cypress Park Rec Center.

    En cada una de las reuniones mencionadas arriba, tendremos $4000 para distribuir en subvenciones. La distribución se basará en cuánto beneficia específicamente el proyecto o evento a los vecinos de Cypress Park.

    Durante la reunión, las organizaciones que soliciten financiación tendrán 5 minutos para presentar su solicitud. La junta tendrá 5 minutos para hacer preguntas. Escucharemos todas las solicitudes a la vez y luego le daremos tiempo a la audiencia para hacer comentarios y ayudarnos a priorizar la financiación.
