Please join us at 7:30PM on 10/8 at the Cypress Park Rec Center for our monthly Governing Board Meeting. We will meet the new General Manager of DONE, hear from the BOE about the Taylor Yard/G2 River Park Project, appoint members to our Education and Youth Committee, and review NPG funding requests for Q4.
Our new Education and Youth Committee is launching this month. We are looking for 2 community stakeholders (aged 14+) to join the committee. Meetings will take place once a month, but we have not finalized the time nor place. The committee will work to involve more young people in the Neighborhood Council and work closely with schools and other groups that serve young people. Applications will be due on 10/8 by 7:30PM. Please return applications to Chloe Rivas or in person at our the 10/8 Governing Board Meeting. The Governing Board will determine the committee membership at the 10/8 Governing Board Meeting which takes place at the Cypress Park Rec Center at 7:30PM.
Join us Tuesday, 9/10 at the Cypress Park Rec Center at 7:30 pm. We’ll be focusing on a proposed development on Figueroa Street.
